Apr 1, 2024 Hate the fact that I'm quoting you because I really don't like you. But I have always thought exactly the same. But my theory was based on when he had pairs of albums; SSLP/MMLP, TES/Encore, Relapse/Recovery. Back then I thought it would be perfect to finish his career with Finite as a retirement album proving that actually things do have an end. But then the album structure from MMLP2 completely ruined that theory.
