May 29, 2021 Do this and upload, so everybody can hear what garbage you are actually offering them to listen to. #ProtectS80FromMusicalRapists
May 29, 2021 Fatano is even more cringy than em. But yeah on paper the verse is cool.. rappity flow not so much
May 29, 2021 There's no problem if 'em keeps switching between fast flows and normal ones. But elongated/prolonged/extended fast flows seem like an intolerable circus trick now.
May 29, 2021 En is so scared to be outrapped on a song that he always makes his verse twice as long and goes for the double/triple time flow
May 29, 2021 Eminem is basically using a formula now. I don't know how he doesn't get tired of the fast parts. They're not impressive anymore, they're just filler. You know how the crowd at concerts used to get hyped before the supersonic part of Rap God? There's no point to it now when there's 100 other faster parts in other songs for no reason other than "it was popular on Rap God so I must keep doing it"
May 29, 2021 Eminem needs quality control, hands down. "This approach doesn't work, it sounds bad. This flow is awful, don't use it on this beat, it doesn't fit" - someone who can say such things to him honestly.
May 29, 2021 wouldnt be a "program" to speed up his verse. but anytime you change the speed of something thats recorded there will be noticeable pitch differences. like on speedom. He didnt do that on here, if any thing they were just different takes which is normal to do. hes not doing his entire 40 bars and flow switches in one take, any engineer would tell someone to f--- all the way off doing that. He's like anyone else and Comping takes in pro tools im sure. but people saying hes punching line after line, or every bar make that sound like one sentence at a time and prolly dont know how to count bars. the start of his verse to the "decapitate" line is 8 bars. when he does a flow switch or changes his tone im sure its completely different takes it only makes sense. people obsess over if he can do certain s--- live but standing in a recording booth and rapping is drastically different to standing in front of 80k ppl at a stadium outside, dancing around and putting on a show when you have inner ear monitors in. so many people on here use the terms "bars" and dont know how to do an actual 4 count to a bar, or they talk about mixing and have no idea what mixing is or the differences between mixing and mastering. BTW not saying all that to you, just giving my thoughts on common takes i see on here. Me personally i love the saturation and mid range boost on the avalon pre amp hes been using, but the double time parts on here it makes things a little cluttered. harmonic distortion is great but it can muddy up a signal in the 300 - 700 HZ range at times. i think it sounded great on most of the verse but i see what people mean with the double time, i dont mind double time as long as it still has wordplay in it, but i prefered the parts without it on this verse. but its his song, he can do what he wants, people saying its not needed and its not that kinda song....its HIS song hes gonna make it W/E he wants it to be lol.
May 29, 2021 Also, back when side B came out and ppl were talking about his vocals. I tried to explain the saturation and how he achieves it, but this is one of the best straight to the point videos on the Avalon. go to 1:15- 1:20 and you can see that sound its a mid range boost, and driving the input on the pre amp, The sony C800 also has an Airy top end to it so it is a good combo for trying to get that harmonic saturation.
May 29, 2021 I don't really like his very fast rapping either, but at least he switches it up in the killer remix and it sounds kinda ok and not as terrible and forced as back in the speedom and Calm down days. But of course i would prefer his "normal" pace. Besides that, he didn't do that much of fast rapping in his last two albums: MTBMB Side A: - Some parts in Unaccommadating, but not super fast and it sounded kinda cool tbh - Godzilla last verse - Yah Yah Verse And that's pretty much it for Side A Side B: - Last 10 seconds on Alfred's Theme - Some parts in the 3rd verse of Fav. b----, but again not his super fast s--- and his flow was great overall on that song - Gnat, last 30 seconds in the last verse - Killer, some parts in the second verse overall it's not that much fast rapping recently tbh.
May 29, 2021 True. Still bummed that he never released a radio version of Godzilla that trimmed out the fast part. The song could’ve been way bigger without that s---.
May 29, 2021 100% agree. Big fan of Em but you gotta call a spade a spade. He didn't k--- this one, Jack Harlow and Cordae were much better and he ruined the song with the fast verse that didn't fit the song at all. But hey it is what it is, at least I'm happy he's still releasing new stuff.
