Apr 12, 2024 Yo just listening to Darkness again... it's one of his best conceptual songs. The way he wrote the double entendres throughout... like, yeah thas a little trick he's done quite a few times by now, but it was done so well here; then the way he sort of, quite carefully danced over the political statements, whilst keeping them in part of the music 'won't make the slightest difference' and making a point... It's hi-key brilliant and, if not as good, still in the sphere with his great storytelling and conceptual songs - 97 bonnie & Clyde, Stan, Kim.
