Apr 13, 2024 @BIG MONKEY do you know how tempo and bpm works? Do you understand you cant just drag any random acapella over a beat and just hope it fits? the first thing is getting the bpms to match, Which isnt easy at all (if you tried recreating what i just made youd fall at the first hurdle). you need to match the bpm of whatever the acapella has been ripped from to the beat your using. This is why your "lights camera action" sounded horrendous, although its not very hard to hear how em intends to flow, but its hard to understand how you got it so wrong lol. Not sure what the musical production equivalent of tone deaf is but i feel like this is you to a T. You should start with the basics, which is how to count bars.
Apr 13, 2024 You say that as though it was originally written and recorded for the Soldier beat and there's a correct place to put it. It's a f---ing freestyle idiot. The placement is not random either since it ends just where the hook is about to start while being as on-beat as it needs to be or probably can be (the way "guns" in "shotguns" lands on the harder drum is just perfect). In any case it's far more relevant to the original song and therefore more interesting than any of your random verse choices, and more on beat than 90% of your version. Even vocals wise it fits since it was clearly recorded around the same time as Soldier, which if you haven't figured it out by now proves I was right about some songs on TES being from the DN era. It's a reupload. My original Soldier edit had like 3K views but I deleted it because I don't care about that.
Apr 13, 2024 The drake hate is corny tho…… I hated him back when I was like 13-14 when he made his first couple albums cause he made some soft a--- music being p---- whipped lmaooo But he grew on me and have dropped some classic s---
Apr 13, 2024 No matter how skilled one may be at doing these remixes they'll almost never be perfect and in most cases far from it as the verses were not designed for the beat in the first place. Cope harder because my ideas are more interesting and intelligent than yours.
Apr 13, 2024 I think anyone who pumps out mediocrity at an alarming rate while getting underserved praise and being one of the biggest artists of all time because of it deserves hate.
Apr 13, 2024 i feel like youre kinda misunderstanding what "on beat" and "off beat" means. Raps (especially eminems) are written in a certain rhythm to flow over the beat. The foundation is always the tempo/bpm of whatever beat youre writing to. This is why faster beats tend to have faster flows and slower beats have slower flows. This is also why you cant just throw any random acapella over any beat and make it work. your lights camera... for example had the "axel rose" part way too early than how he originally intended to flow it and thats why it went terribly "off beat" and sounded horrible. MY most recent remix, every verse is on beat because i matched every acapella with the tempo of the Soldier instrumental (95 bpm). there's no such thing as "as on beat as it needs to be" its either on beat or it isnt lol. You cant just throw an acapella that eminem wrote over a beat that was 90bpm for instance onto another beat that is 96bpm, and expect it to work. Youre lack onf understanding here is what makes every edit you do with acapellas sound horribly "off beat"
Apr 13, 2024 also of course theres a correct place to put it lmao. Youre sounding very naive here. Im getting frustrated because as the old saying goes you cant argue with stupid
Apr 13, 2024 its not about "skill" bro. making remixes with acapellas over different beats is one of the easiest things in the world, yet you somehow manage to lack the basic knowledge of where to start. Do you think DJs just line up songs and "hope" it fits well with whatever theyre already playing?
Apr 13, 2024 Then why are you putting scare quotes around "off beat"? What are they supposed to indicate?
