Apr 26, 2024 I've thought this too. Does this mean he'll never mention Slim Shady ever again after this album? He literally has "Executive Producer Slim Shady" on the back of a load of albums (Kami / MTBMB I know of anyway). Is he suddenly just going to get rid of the persona? I'd cringe massively if the last track reveals that "SLIM SHADY WILL NEVER DIE!!!"
Apr 26, 2024 He already tried to "fuse" him and Shady together on mmlp2 but nobody either got it or gave a f--- about it (the concept WAS half assed too so I don't blame people) the last words on the album without the deluxe are "we are the same, b----"
Apr 26, 2024 He can still do the Slim Shady voice. The problem is im 98% percent certain he just cant flow like that, fused with that level of wit anymore no matter how much he tries.
Apr 26, 2024 much prefer this flow. even tho its just 2 syllable rhymes at the end of each bar. goes way harder than how he tries flowing today
Apr 26, 2024 f--- features I want this to be a concept album and most features Eminem has are some random verses that have zero relation to the concept just Eminem and shady maybe one song that has a woman for a hook and that’s it
Apr 26, 2024 agreed but dre, 50 and royce should be there at least, imo. in dumb shady lore terms they exist
Apr 26, 2024 That's the SSLP/era voice, but k--- You, I'm Back etc etc are about as Slim Shady as it gets and they don't have a trace of the nasally voice. Slim Shady to me is an attitude, and one he hasn't tapped into since the Relapse days. Although Walkthrough is getting there
Apr 26, 2024 Think you've answered your own question there, then. Slim Shady isn't a specific voice but an attitude and demeanor
Apr 26, 2024 Yeah there's a high probability, close to certain if we go by past albums, that even if by some miracle he does stick to the concept, which he never has the balls to because he's too concerned tryna provide 'this type of song n that type of song' / he'll f--- it up with at least 2-3 pointless relationship songs. With some terrible hook from Skylar.
Apr 26, 2024 Y'all are pretending that ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ isn’t gonna be his retirement album?
