Sep 29, 2021 First time I've listened to this song since about a week or 2 after it came out. God it's bad. That constant increasing intensity and aggression in all of Em's verses back then was such a tired format by that point. And the focus on individual syllables of individual words to carry on rhyme schemes is just horrible now. 2/10 verse. I wonder if 50 was ever planning a comeback album full of songs like this. That last bar at the end of his verse shows there may have been a thought process; "this is my Recovery, call me the comeback kid". Anyway, I like the hook. I've always enjoyed Maroon 5's music for what it is.
