Apr 30, 2024 They did say on the Paulpod that there won't be any more Re albums. I did try skimming through a couple weeks ago but couldn't find it tho
Apr 30, 2024 Bass Brothers don't get enough credit for his early success. If you look at the timeline of their involvement and when Em's music starts to dip, it matches perfectly.
Apr 30, 2024 It's hard for me to admit but it's true that even encore had higher highs than the best he had to offer without the bass brothers
Apr 30, 2024 Recovery was the downfall of Eminem really. He became everything he made fun of. Poppy emotional rap. Relapse was so good too, I wish people didn't make fun of his accent. That really f----- everything up.
Apr 30, 2024 f--- Abby from TLOU2 that hoe a--- b---- and her golf club id shove that s--- in her a--- joel would never let his guard down on these lot like that he would’ve John wicked his way outta there
Apr 30, 2024 Funnily enough they aren't credited for anything on Encore. They were heavily involved with SSLP, MMLP and TES tho. They also have producer credits for Lose Yourself.
Apr 30, 2024 Like it or not Recovery had substance and a clear vision behind it which his subsequent albums lack.
Apr 30, 2024 I thought so too. It appears they got back together again for Drama Setter and Touchdown. Also Beautiful off Relapse. After that they pretty much fell off the map. According to wikipedia https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bass_Brothers_production_discography
Apr 30, 2024 It fascinates me that even with MMLP2 he didn’t collaborate with the bass brothers. I get constantly evolving, but a sequel album is when you get a pass for imitating your old self. And even with more recent opportunities like Doomsday, it feels like he purposely avoids trying to rap like he did in SSLP and MMLP. The closest thing we got was Jimmy Brian and Mike, which I’m not hating, it was really cool to get that track
Apr 30, 2024 I apologise if I've already told you this cause I said it a couple of times but it's always been rumored that the bass brothers didn't "respect his sobriety" (it's the phrase they always used to describe the situation) so Em doesn't wanna work with them anymore, that could mean anything, from drinking a beer next to Em in the studio or smoking a joint to actually offering him drugs so no idea how bad it was
Apr 30, 2024 Yeah I’ve heard that (maybe from you lol), but I haven’t seen it anywhere officially so never knew how true it was. If it is then it makes complete sense why they wouldn’t continue together. I know there was also some conflict between their manager and Paul, but regardless it’s just sad
Apr 30, 2024 I read it ages ago on an article about maybe recovery or mmlp2 and it's one of those things that for some reason never left my mind lol
