May 7, 2024 Can’t remember now but I do remember shaking my head in disgust when I read it. Could have been @missing who said it
May 7, 2024 Side B should've really been a mixtape or ep with a different title. What songs other than Alfred's Theme even fit the Music To be Murdered By concept? I know there's songs on Side A that don't fit but side b is just a bunch of mixed s--- with different sound
May 7, 2024 Black Magic could fit sound-wise Killer really only has the title LOL. It's a failed attempt at a club b-----r that s--- belongs on Honestly Nevermind
May 7, 2024 Streets are saying Ye cancelled Yeezy p---. Guess Vultures 2 listening party won’t be a lesbian orgy now
May 7, 2024 I was thinking more on the wave of the last verse with the beat switch. But it’s such a loose concept that he says it’s not just about the topic of murder but also ‘murdering beats’ ↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓↓
May 7, 2024 Black Magic... kills her at the end. Favorite b---- - hip-hop as a woman, and also kills at the end again. / kills hip-hop, and details that from beginning of the third verse ('put one in the back of your head') Killer by title and hook as you said, and Alfred's Theme... These Demons - about cops killing black people; like, I know that's a little stretch but, the point is murder and death is a theme everywhere through these songs, if it's not a direct concept, he's writing verses about the s--- or dropping bars everywhere like in Gnat with the gun shot moment and all that... everywhere. But yeah Side A has tons too, from all the mentions in bars but also obviously - Darkness, Stepdad, Leaving Heaven / dead dad, I Will / killing the rhymes and bars, hook concept... It's everywhere on both albums. It's probably one of his most thematically consistent, ever. Even the s--- about random topics, he ties in or litters with bars. Wheras MMLP2 let's say, you just have s--- like So Much Better and Stronger Than I Was which feel totally random, out of place and for other albums. And nothing to do with the themes or vibe of the album title or concept.
