May 15, 2024 Underground is fire, whole album is, and that show he did in Detroit to promote the album was dope
May 15, 2024 Yeah that show was dope. Such a shame he didn't do more and visual for the album too - he's wasted so many eras now which could have been iconic visual performances too; like, MMLP you had him running out in a jumpsuit for Criminal, the jason mask... that s--- is still iconogrophized today Like, imagine Relapse epitomized properly - all the visuals, the potential with costumes n set pieces and performances; Kamikaze too - 100% needed to fkn perform in a Kamikaze jumpsuit - open with The Ringer! Imagine that, show opens up - you hear that plane crash and then he pops out in a beige jumpsuit spittin' the ringer. Guy doesn't know what he's fkn doing I swear. Wasted it all.
May 15, 2024 The "Insult to Injury" freestyle verses over the Underground beat would be neat. Similar voice and delivery except decent lyrics.
May 15, 2024 The Underground verses are so disappointing that I'd actually also prefer We Made You LOL. Been kind of wanting to edit the fart sound out using the instrumental but I'm just not enthusiastic enough about the song.
May 15, 2024 We Made You fits, and is a catchy single, nothing wrong with it. I'm more concerned with the song fitting. Especially with a style so jarring and particular as Relapse - anything not made in its tone just sticks out stupidly. Obviously Underground is still on topic, and has that hook and production so it's not totally off, but, writing is still bad and lines he would say in 'the Relapse style' which would work because they'd just sound... abstract and absurd, just sound clunky in that Underground style, head on.
May 15, 2024 the beauty of exchanging opinions with fellow eminem fans relies in the shared knowledge of having some real horrible taste in music
May 15, 2024 I’m not the biggest fan of Underground. Nothing about it impresses me, and I feel like it was really the beginning of modern Eminem’s problem where he raps about a bunch of random s--- in a really unfunny and boring way. People comparing it to classic Eminem baffles me. That beat was wasted.
May 15, 2024 Proud this thread went 1 full page of talking about Eminem’s music. We as a society are healing
May 15, 2024 I thought you didn't like modifying albums because "it doesn't count"? If you're fine with removing songs why not verses, too? Or adding a few tracks in their stead. Can't imagine "fixing" Relapse without adding some of his best non-album songs from the period, or songs meant for Relapse 2. Especially: Things Get Worse, Chem Warfare, Psycho, Elevator, Having a Relapse, My Darling, Drop the Bomb, Warning.
May 15, 2024 edit: The edited intro to Having a Relapse is whatever. I posted that one because it has an interesting outro.
May 15, 2024 On May 15, the album was released in some European countries, on May 19, the album was officially released in the USA on CD and was originally announced for release on May 19. On May 18, the album was released in the UK.
May 15, 2024 we all have terrible opinions because we're eminem fans and it's funny to see one terrible opinion against another
