May 25, 2024 If they wanted to maximize sales, they should’ve made Godzilla the first single. But with “Walk On Water” and “Darkness” as first singles he’s clearly going for a more artistic, serious approach with his first singles rather than chasing numbers. If they wanna chase numbers, they need to put out hype singles that sound good. They don’t need fast rap and they don’t need to call people out. They just need to stop picking depressing a--- first singles if they really want good numbers. To be fair, Revival didn’t have anything that would be a good first single. With the bit of promo they’re doing for this album it seems the team cares more about numbers this time, which is why it’ll be confusing if they don’t have a hype first single out.
