May 28, 2024 Meteorologist here. Actually it begins on June 1st & ends august 31st. It’s actually more reliable than astronomical seasons in terms of weather patterns, etc at least for NA exceptions being the arctic circle where astronomical seasons make more sense to use.

May 28, 2024 Think people are getting a bit pedantic. Assuming it's the album, it'll have been out 24 hours then we'll be in June. I don't think that's stretching 'summer'. I wouldn't even put it past him to put out part one on the verge of June, then part two out in July or something - if this is music he's been making since 2021. Friday has got to be an album really. As people have said, if you're just dropping a single, you drop some form of teaser, a title, a glimpse of the music video, or at the very least some tweet that alludes to his first song back. My guess is he drops the album, but drops a single with a video at the same time, like with 'Darkness'. The album cover will have him looking like Houdini or something, or the music video will have him as a magician sawing himself in half, as a nod to Role Model vibes.
May 28, 2024 Regardless of whether he admits to having a sense of melody or music, he undoubtedly possesses a good ear for it and knows how to make albums cohesive, even if he isn't a conventional producer. Apart from his work with Eminem (which I would argue, wasn't even bad until Revival), he is undeniably a legend. The albums he worked on for Johnny Cash, both shortly before and after Cash's passing, alone prove that. Despite how many people on here act like everything he touches turns to garbage, often due to staying within their Eminem bubble, that definitely is not the case.
May 28, 2024 Agree with this. He has way too much credit in the music. Black Album especially. Like with everything to do with Em, it comes down to how confident he is in his own product. I liked a lot of MMLP2, but it never came across as a project where he was sure of his sound or goal. So I don't think it was a huge shock that some moments or beats didn't hit the mark, whether Rick was involved or not. I mean, he's had Dre led albums miss the mark. My main hope with this album is that, surrounded by people he can hopefully be challenged by, but also say no to - and with a few years of albums having promise, but slightly missing the mark - that he's had 3 years of honing it all in to be confident in what he's putting out.

May 28, 2024 No s---. What I was saying wasn’t an argument of when summer starts or ends. Just pointing out that the promo teased coming in the summer. They wouldn’t have teased coming this summer and then drop a date immediately after for when the album is dropping. If that was the case they would have just not mentioned coming this summer in the promo. Also, putting an obituary up means they are clearly doing a roll out for this album. I doubt the roll out plan is to just drop the album real quick after a few random teasers. If he wanted to drop the album at random with no single he would have done it.
