Em could release Till I Collapse in today's age and it would get trashed for being "too aggressive" and a bunch of other things. It doesn't matter how good the single is, people are going to trash it. I highly doubt Em's team is going to open up his album to a ton of critics before it even drops.

May 28, 2024 Can't you already tell that's not what's happening? They're trying a longer rollout. Bc they weren't happy with sales of MTBMB, Side A - probably why they released Side B with it as opposed to separately, so they could bolster both sales together as one, make it look better. Which has been an industry trick for a while now - releasing a whole new album, with the original, as a 'deluxe' at the end of the same year. Multiple have done this. Anyway, last year merch - all the Shady death halloween s---; the BIG investment on the SSLP25 merch (to highlight Slim Shady imagery and just the whole saga), the obituary, spots on late night... they've invested big here. There's no album dropping on Friday. They're releasing a single and building, more... Which, I don't know why you wouldn't be happy with. Stop being greedy. By the time you get the album, you'll be bitching the following week about the wait 'til the next one. Enjoy this build-up, it's going to get more cinematic and cool. Enjoy it.
