May 28, 2024 I was just listening to We As Americans and was reminded of this exchange. It's easy for Eminem to virtue signal about gun violence from the comfort of his gated community under the 24/7 protection of armed security. The average person isn't so lucky. No way if he'd never blown up he'd ever become a gun control nut. As for issues with race, he never seemed very passionate about the subject in the past, except where it concerned so-called "reverse racism". His newfound bleeding heart for the cult of black suffering reeks of conformism and opportunism. But if I took him at face value on this it would be hard to square with a persisting regard for free speech. Wouldn't he agree with the left that racists should be censored at all costs for the greater good of the country?
