May 29, 2024 Same. The idea being "recapturing" the vibe of the first two albums. Em said he was going for that with Relapse but to me it sounded nothing like SSLP or MMLP but is great in its own lane. We will see. Recovery-MTBMB was Em spearheading his own albums whilst SSLP-Relapse were all guided by Bass Brothers or Dre. Hopefully this album has someone guiding his creativity again. In my opinion Em has the skill and creativity to put out classic music but is a little too autistic to fully control his vision on his own.
