May 30, 2024 One thing underrated about Eminem is his versatility. I can't think of many rappers with a discography as diverse as his. SSLP to TES - Three classic albums that sound nothing alike. Relapse to Recovery Revival to Kamikaze Along the way he's had massive worldwide hits, catchy songs, pure hip-hop songs, personal songs, rap beefs, storytelling, comedy, horrorcore etc. I never understood the "he has no content" argument. He's covered more than most still. His most recent era (2018-present) is probably the only time I can think of where he hasn't radically switched it up. Let's hope he has one last trick, hoping for something new and fresh (please God please be done with the incessant punchlines)
May 30, 2024 He was so much more 'naturally' talented back then. Even that, as simple as it is... there's something surprising and nifty about 'flows too wet' and 'close to it'. The rhymes are less surprising now, they might be... more of them, and more precise and more often, and tighter, but, it's like 'oh okay, yeah ABC-DEFG, like you can see and hear the patterns so much more obviously like any rappity rap underground rapper.
May 30, 2024 kamikaze was his first attempt to make mmlp2 techicanlity a style and he mastered it on music to be murdered by
May 30, 2024 Nah, that would be like killing Walter White in 1st episode. We've got whole album titled The Death Of Slim Shady coming, so there's more story to his death than this.
May 30, 2024 Fax. The sound versatility too? Insane. Definitely racism at play too. All you EVER fkn hear, even if he's being praised, from most of hip-hop, non-white people anyway is 'I don't care what color he is!'... nobody axed? Why would you even bring that up, if it doesn't matter. Bc, if Jay-Z had that many fkn styles n flows... he's already talked of as greater than Em, being what he is... Same wit Nas. Nas is great, but Nas has sounded the f---ing same since 1994. I don't know how he's not bored of himself. Imagine writing in the same way, sounding the same, listening to yourself, over n over, for like... f---ing, what... 30 years? It's insane. Narcisssm at its finest. Wheras Em... 'My Name Is'... vs... 'Not Afraid;... is like a different human being. I don't mean the content even, though, that too - but, the f---ing... SOUND. His voice. His delivery. Everything is TOTALLY insanely different. Then compare BOTH of those to f---ing... 'Lose Yourself', or 'Stay Wide Awake'. If he was black, he wouldn't have sold half or be less respect, people like... Charlamagne the Pleb who said 'he would be Redman' are absolute racist morons; he'd be MORE respected, bc the race s--- wouldn't be an issue, and it'd just be like WOW - lyrics, substance, flow, 10 billion styles. Undeniable. Redman, pft lmao. Where tf is Redman's 'Stan' or 'Lose Yourself'. Absurd.
May 30, 2024 Not really if it’s done properly, if they did an album of him building up to his death and then an investigation album it would be nuts
May 30, 2024 It would be good just imagine that extremly good trss alike song that everything going great and funny but in last 3 seconds theme changes and slim dies
May 30, 2024 obviously there will be some sort of violence. The blood splatter on Houdini font wasnt just for nothing.
May 30, 2024 hmmm, I was thinking he dies at the beginning and the rest of the album is like a "who did it?"murder mystery type s---
May 30, 2024 I'll go further back. Anybody remember Without Me premiering in the middle of the night but it was overshadowed by Left Eye feom TLC getting killed? Or TRSS premiering on Making The Video? I'm old AF so I do lol
