May 30, 2024 I mean it seems there's a lot of stuff that will automatically make the song and the album bad apparently. fast verse -> he's washed up, can't flow anymore, slim shady is really dead skylar grey or ez mil anywhere near the album even if it's just a hook or a short verse from ez mil -> bad, the album is ruined, s--- tracklist. doesn't matter if we had to put up with Bizarre verses on his previous albums (I think 2 even?) love song -> bad, not even playin it and that kind of stuff that gets repeated 100 times I mostly agree with these takes in the sense that I don't want any of these to happen because that would be another MTBMB. I want something new. I want more flows like Discombobulated, I want something that deserves to be on "The Death of Slim Shady". but these aren't rules that will immediately make the album bad if broken. He could make the best song he's ever done and feature both skylar grey and ed sheeran on it, what do you know?

May 30, 2024 The build from 2018 - 2024 has been incredible and 0 doubt the best of his career. Usually, he's declining year to year depending on the stretch or up and down. So, with how great 2020-2024 has been with his flow, confidence, beat selection, am I the only one a bit worried by that 1 second instrumental, the single art cover, and the whole magician theme? It was cool at first for some murder mystery thing ( i guess) but why would he put out a cartoony/corny single again? Especially with an old school rollout announcing a single. He's on record how he'll never do it again. So, if he's so confident this time around, there's got to be some kind of twist. It can't be this Without Me/We Made You/TRSS Dre type beat taking outdated shots at pop culture. That will literally get 0 airplay. His only hope with hit singles we've seen over the last decade is a pop star on the hook or current gen rapper feature. Well, we know he won't do the pop route after Revival ... so...... i dunno .. We're at a fork in the road here WRT the 2018-2024 ascension.
