May 31, 2024 Couple interesting things I noticed from the confirmation email when I pre-ordered last night but just opened for the first time. This is the start of the email - “Thank you for your purchase! Click the link below to download your digital album art. Your digital album will be delivered in full Summer 2024.” Doesn’t say “later this summer”. Just summer. Earlier promo said “later this summer.” Plus the countdown that ends next Friday on the website for the digital pre-order. Also there’s a link in the email that brings you to the page that you’ll download it. It’s got a live link that downloads the placeholder album cover but interestingly it says “10 downloads remaining.” If you download the placeholder it then drops to 9 remaining. Dunno why someone would wanna download the cover 10 times or if that means it’s only gonna have 10 songs and the download count will reset when it drops? TL;DR - EP dropping Friday.
May 31, 2024 All his first singles after 8 mile soundtrack have been absolute trash. Just lose it. We made you. Not afraid. Berzerk. That awful song from mmlp2, surrender or some s---, forget whats it’s called but the song that was on the call of duty game…walk on water. Yes, this is by far the best first single he’s had in 20 years. Hopefully it’s representative of the album. I think this is the longest wait we’ve had for an album since waiting for relapse? After the revival turd the fact he’s promoting it must mean he’s pretty confident in the project. I doubt he kills off shady. Maybe fakes his death as his last trick? I don’t know. But Paul’s message sounds like this album is leaning more into the saying s--- to piss people off route again. Which is what I’ve been waiting for since his relapse album. It just never happened.

Back for MMLP2 you could have lengthy promos because that was acceptable and more the norm back then Now with streaming dominating physical sales & the rise of tik-tok/short form content and basically everyone wanting things instantaneously, it’s harder to do that. People (the internet) move onto things/new trends so quickly nowadays. Gotta make best use of the hype I don’t particularly care when it drops, I’ll love every moment of promo regardless. Just don’t think it’s in their best interest to drag this out, and I’m sure they know that
