Jun 3, 2024 It does, but he said it himself that he enjoyed writing for other people beats more I do want this to be mostly produced by Dre and Em tho. That can be the difference between a good album and a classic.
Jun 3, 2024 Its more down to the collaboration of Eminem, Jeff Bass, DJ Head and Resto that made that album so magical. I dont think Em can imitate it with just him and Resto. Looking like they may be giving it a try on this new album though. We'll see.

Jun 3, 2024 Yeah he definitely learned from Dre to stick his name as the main producer for royalty reasons. Some are just listed as produced solely by Eminem but I dont think hes ever produced the entirety of a beat on his own. I wonder if he signed some sort of contract with his musicians that states everything they produce together stays under the "Eminem" name, and they get paid accordingly. Though to be fair Bass, Resto and Head have all said he was very hands on in the studio and would guide them at times with the sounds he wanted. The Way I Am is a great example of how he came up with the melody and recorded it to a handheld recorder then wrote the song to that little recording. Then when he got to LA to Dres studio he had his team create track and used Dre's patches to do the drums. What's the chances some video footage exists of Em, Bass or Resto working in Ems home studio or 54 sound back in 01-02? Id love to see that. The only footage we have of him close to them times is the D12 world stuff where he was making goofier songs and some very early SSLP stuff.
