Literally stopped being himself, hoping we’re getting him back properly -if you look back to the Eminem show, practically every instrumental that was chosen, has its own defining character away from the lyrics his modern music just doesn’t have that
Jun 4, 2024 Revival's worst songs are worse than most of his discog except maybe Right For Me (f--- off @Ricky I don't wanna hear it) Castle + Arose > all of MMLP2, but most of MMLP2 > most of Revival. The only song on MMLP2 I don't actually like I think is Stronger Than I Was. While on Revival the only songs I like are Framed, Castle, Believe, and Arose.

Jun 4, 2024 Say what you want about the Fortnite event, but man it was a genius move now when looking back. My son and like his whole class bought all the skins and became massive fans afterwards. I can imagine what the teachers think when they walk around listening to old classic Shady lmfao. Also the fact that Em released the "rap boy" skin was genius now that we know rap boy returned in the new song. "So how many little kids still wanna act like me?" Thanks to the Fortnite event the answer is a lot of kids! Like I have said earlier, third prime incoming!

Jun 4, 2024 I like Side A a lot more but I still f--- with a lot of Side B (hot take, These Demons >>). I just prefer his tone on Side A more. I'm not a huge fan of the softer, lower tone he uses on Side B mostly because the mixing sounds weird to me for some reason.
Jun 4, 2024 It's his first album where I feel he lost that 'fear factor' and respect from the rap community at large. It feels outdated and out of touch. They'll tell you it was Revival, but the signs were already there before that with MMLP2 and Shady XV. The period from 2011-2017 was the least I've ever listened to him because his music felt so forced and cringeworthy. Other than a few of the good songs I've mentioned, you can clearly see he started to prioritise the 'rapping for the sake of rapping' and 'bars' over good music on there, which is a problem that's followed him ever since. It's an album for the 'nerdy' rap fans. I'm sure his fans weren't referred to as Mountain Dew drinking, Call of Duty playing basement dwellers before MMLP2. Not that much anyway. I kinda hate the album for that reason icl
