Jun 6, 2024 It absolutely makes sense. Buy it now! Cause now and only now will you get the exclusives! This gauges interest as well. Those numbers will be watched closely and monitored. You see this tactic in a lot of other business ventures. It’s public perception. It may or may not determine how they move forward with the rest of the rollout based on the amount of people who have purchased the album early. I’m sure the album is close to release. Very close. But to release an album as soon as preorders are pulled makes even less sense. Cause if I ordered it and the very next day the album came out I’d be like wtf did I just buy that for. Even though we all get to listen to the album on the same day perception matters very much. is it unusual? Yes, it is in today’s age. Could just be a test to see how many people rush to buy the album early. So they know if it’s worth doing again in the future. It will be tallied into day one sales. Cause they make more money on someone buying this then they do streaming it. Making it timed may cause more people to actually purchase the album rather then waiting for it to drop on streaming putting more money into their pockets. Plus you get this “exclusive” but only if you act quick! They love milking Eminem for loot boxes. Just look at all the constant merch that drops. Not all artists have a big core audience to milk the cow like they can with Eminem.
