Both different styles yes but both are primes none the less. I think they need to stop being compared tbh. Everything inbetween could be classified as mid but I wouldn't use the word trash with the exception of revival.

Take Underground for instance, really poor writing and just whittling off a load of random lines. Night and day between that and Same, Song and Dance.
