Jun 9, 2024 Can we put the whole Encore thing to bed already. There was one trip to visit Dre. They wrote 17 songs and recorded 11 of them. 7 are on the album which means there are 4 we haven't heard. There was no second trip to record more songs do you really think he himself had no other songs? He had loads of songs to choose from. This whole thing about making more songs makes It seem like he had nothing and so those songs leaked and a year later Encore comes out? Eminem records all the time. I don't know why people can't understand and why Eminem himself doesn't just say I recorded all these songs and that's the songs I put on the album. In 2005 it was again said officially that the only new song on Curtain Call was When Im Gone basically confirming Fack and Shake That were not new. What are they chances they were recorded during the Encore sessions? Otherwise they would have made a point of saying they were also brand new recordings.
Jun 9, 2024 He already said that though, he said he had eight songs for Encore which they put out on the tape
Jun 9, 2024 But look at when it leaked and compare that to when Encore was released. He will have recorded loads of new music in that time as well as D12 World. It's not like it was a last minute thing. There was well over a year in time between the leak and the Encore release. What would be interesting to know is if those sessions with Dre happened before or after the leak. I'm assuming after. Well he had 17 songs and decided 11 of them were good enough to record. 11 songs and he used 7 For the album. That's not counting what he and Luis Resto recorded. He should just admit what he put out was what he wanted to. That was what he thought was a good album.
Jun 9, 2024 Eminem and Dre recorded four last-minute tracks in Florida that made it onto the album: “Just Lose It,” “Big Weenie,” “Rain Man,” and likely “a--- Like That,” which all make sense. “Love You More” was replaced with “Crazy In Love,” an inferior song recorded in Detroit without Dre’s involvement earlier. “Ricky Ticky Toc” was likely just a freestyle added to the deluxe bonus disc. I’m confident “Come On In” was simply swapped for “One Shot Two Shot” since it leaked, becoming “6 In The Mornin’” on the D12 album. It sucks that “Bully” was never officially released, as it was confirmed to come after “We As Americans,” which was the opening track, as stated in Eminem’s book.
Jun 9, 2024 Apparently When I'm Gone was written and recorded in late 2003 / early 2004. I've speculated recently that it's an Encore discard, originally intended to close the album (hence the sound of curtains closing at the end). This seems obvious when you think about it and yet oddly I never see it on "what if" Encore tracklists either here or on YT.
Jun 9, 2024 When I’m gone is so good. Better than every song on Encore to me, and should have been on that album. I always thought it was the superior Mockingbird.
Jun 9, 2024 Also Youtube compresses videos so even if the source truly was 8K it wouldn't be true 8K after it's uploaded.
Jun 9, 2024 There also is a little trend on tiktok of Gen X and millennials showing thier kids Eminem. The comments are mostly positive. It’s cool seeing Slim Shady having another resurgence this comeback. So many people getting into his old discography and watching 8 Mile
Jun 9, 2024 Don't trust sketchy reddit posts. Dude had to use chatgpt to ask what end of summer means. Technology has really made people brain dead.
