Jun 13, 2024 I’m honestly 50/50 on this rollout. When it’s going, it’s going real well, and then it’s just nothing? I love what they are doing so far to build anticipation, I just don’t get why they just randomly go silent. Maybe they are saving a bunch of fun stuff for the week leading up to the album, which hopefully we get the release date within the next week or so if it really does drop on the 5th. I only think they’ll spend more time promoting the album than Houdini, 1) obviously because it’s the full album and not a single and 2) because they’ll want to make pre orders BOOM. Start physical pre orders in drop 2 so that way they can ship within the first week. If they do that, plus digital copies, Em is selling at least 500, maybe even 600K first week
Jun 13, 2024 100% this. When it’s cranked it’s good. And then it just dies. Makes me think Em went back and wanted to add stuff to it and it’s getting pushed back.
Jun 13, 2024 Agree with it being an EP This is how I had mine set up: The Ringer Greatest Lucky You Not Alike Paul (Skit) Normal Em Calls Paul (Skit) Kamikaze Fall Stepping Stone The 4 run at the start to maintain the energy. Had to keep Normal in because the instrumental carries into the Em Calls Paul (Skit). I thought Kamikaze makes more sense after the goofy skit & the beat change of Kamikaze when he’s throwing out the Drake subs & says “line up the rappers, take my pick like a photoshoot” straight to Fall is perfect as it is, & then the Stepping Stone bombshell is a great outro to the project.
Jun 13, 2024 Spittin’ I would’ve been happy with Premonition being the only mention of critics ever again lol
Jun 13, 2024 I hope this is not the case at all It would s--- if he dropped Houdini and all the hype was there just for a bunch of stuff to push it back. I want this album to be great and I don’t mind waiting but it would just feel like blue balls hahahah also I don’t want him to overthink the album, everyone around him is saying it’s great
Jun 13, 2024 I feel like he had a great window to drop in between the last 2 weeks and this week - and now about to be overshadowed by Kendrick and bigger pop artists. Plus the Aftermath drops. It’s either gonna be an expertly crafted drop that happens in the next 1-2 months….or a missed opportunity. Don’t really see an in-between at this point.
Jun 14, 2024 That’s why I feel like it NEEDS to be July 12th or earlier, any later will just be like…why? Unless he is going in to actually make the album better in anyway, I see no reason for this album to come out after mid July, unless there’s issues with physicals
Jun 14, 2024 Well guys, looks like July 5th is our next hope unless there’s a random Monday announcement about the album coming the 21st. Anyways, a couple hip-hop albums dropped tonight that I feel like will be dope to check out, Don Toliver’s new album and Lucki’s new album. Both on my radar to listen to soon
