Jun 24, 2024 This is likely not true but I sometimes wonder if the Kendrick Drake beef interfered with this release and this silence. What I mean is by slight chance Em and Drake did a song together a few months ago saved for the album that they both and label know is a great song. If he released it, it wouldn’t look great in terms of loyalty in the camp (although Kendrick would never disrespect Em regardless)…. But would it make ‘Em look bad? It would also bring Drake back in some respected limelight which Kendrick doesn’t want and owns currently. But if that was the case, it would s--- for Em not to release what was a great song and help the album, which isn’t fair to him or the album (or fans) either. Likely not true, but absolutely possible and would explain him, Paul, and Dre confused on what to do with the track and if they should include it or not.
