May 11, 2024 what's crazy to me is that cadence and rhyme scheme are so good these lyrics were stuck in my head when Side B came out but I never really stopped to think about what he was saying. The way he says it and the layered back voice make it sound like he might be talking about bees and flowers for that matter. If he said something like that 20+ years ago it would sound and feel completely different. Sometimes the writing is terrible and other times it feels like he just doesn't care about delivery cause people will read the lyrics trying to dissect them anyway so he thinks that it doesn't matter how he says it anymore

May 11, 2024 to me a decent song can rapidly turn into a terrible one when it completely misses the mark or it seems like the most generic thing an artist could put out I never necessarily thought it was that bad and there are some good moments. It was also the first song in a while where he didn't sound bored the f--- out I think. But I have 0 reasons to go back to it

May 11, 2024 Same s--- as Remind Me & Heat. The reason they get hated to the end of Earth is more to do with what they represent, another missed mark & fading light at the back-end of a legendary artist’s career, so people react to that rather than the song itself.
