It's interesting he says 'now I'm getting clowned and frowned on'
Goes towards what I said the other day... Like - clearly Em can not just be deluded with yes men, or he wouldn't know this s---.
Because on the surface: by the public - he's praised. There is some common criticisms like 'not as good as he used to be' that kind of s---, but on the surface - he sells boat loads, he wins grammys, critics... with mmlp2 were fairly positive and impressed...
So the fact he knows the overriding gripes of general rap fans and also little complaints of Eminem obsessives n s---... He must really have Paul and Royce etc. tell him the hard truth reactions.
Kind of wish he didn't though because he's been obsessively self-obsessed since Encore due to that and seems like he can't get out of that mindset of obsessing over the response and writing about his own writing. This track confirms that's what he's been doing.
I just hope "b---- I wrote stan" really is a transition to new content. Because content about your content is really uncreative, like... f--- writing about it Em - actually WRITE IT. -

Alright, I haven't read anyone's opinions so don't know if this has been said and how it' gone down. Here's what I think.
I love it. That song is deep as f---. What did we all say one thing MMLP2 lacked? Content. That right there is content alright. He clearly really needed that off his chest. He listens to everyone's opinions and hate and it eats away at him. He obviously lacks confidence and gets nervous about how his new music will be received. Fair play to him there though that was really f---ing good. I'm guessing people won't be happy about the production - having a lack of a beat (like a drum in there or whatever) but it worked for the song in my opinion. The idea was to focus on the words rather than the beat.
This song will be huge, two of the biggest names in music collabing the numbers will be crazy.
The album won't be all like that obviously. At the end of the song it sounds like the next track on the album he's really going to go in hard and it continues on to the next song.
Great start to revival.because the internet, Knox, Groovy Tony and 8 others like this. -

really though I don't hate this song. he came through with the content and lyrically it's the type of thing I would want from 2017 eminem, but as a piece of music it just does not succeed for me and I can't imagine myself listening to it again until the album drops.Enigma, Groovy Tony, Mothrfckr and 8 others like this. -

This song is written for all of us.
It’s about us. All of us. Those that love him whatever. Those that hate him. Those that pretend to. Basically, everyone here doing what we always do.
That’s what this song is about. If you can’t not appreciate this for what it is, you truly just shouldn’t be checking for new em anymore.
Personally.....
This is exactly what tf I needed from marshal, it’s beautiful, introspective and personal. It’s marshall. Not eminem or slim shady.
Hyped as f--- now for this album.Hard Klyntar, BART, Buddha and 7 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Honestly the most level headed Eminem has sounded in an interview in years.
