d---, I would have never spent a single thought on Eminem reacting this way to criticism. His fans' criticism really got to him and I don't really know what to think about his reaction in general (and I'm not talking about the song but the state of mind he is in at the moment).
Song is great, introspected, great content and lyrics. But I have to admit the "musical" part is missing but then again this kind of content in a musical song just would not fit. I'm excited to see what he has come up with for this new album.

Eminem from interview: "one thing I learned from Tupac......I don't know how he did it....but he knew how to place his lyrics exactly where the chord hit right....he never said the wrong thing on the wrong cord....every lyric is placed in the exact right place....like in "Unconditional Love" when he raps "broken down TV show cartoons in my living room"....I mean if he placed that lyric one bar later, it wouldn't have hit right with the beat"

After being extremely disappointed by WoW, I actually have some hope for this album after hearing this interview.

When Em was done, Rick played the song for Jay Z. and he got Beyonce to dub the hook.

I think the song itself is ironic... the things he discusses on it, he knew that those exact things would be said after it was released. I'm not crazy about the idea of it being a single, because mainly of how minimal the beat is, but with Beyonce on it I understand the choice to push it as one. The song just seems like a good album cut. Seems like it could be the intro, and maybe that ending leads into the 2nd song on the album. It's almost as if he is saying "Okay I can never please anyone, but I'm gonna just do what I do - and that's tear s--- apart on the rest of this album".

I wanted something more retrospective and not the typical "motivational" type of songs he had been pushing out as singles, and I feel like that's what he's done on this one to an extent (as in it not being the 300th time it's been fully a motivational, comeback song). Eminem responding to critics in the "social media era" we are in. I never really can guess what to expect based on a single, but I just feel like the album is going to be better than most are expecting it to be. The content is there, a little more mature, and I'm hoping that theme continues on the album.

Based on my initial reaction, I'm gonna give the song a strong 7.5/10 rating. Not what I was expecting, but that wasn't a bad thing. If you consider it's meant to be a minimally-produced song, the content alone makes it a pretty good song to me. The hook is dope.

Just my thoughts. People will most likely either enjoy it or just flat out hate it I'm assuming (and those opinions will probably be reversed by some after a few years I'm sure).
