Feb 24, 2026 I think that’s because Drake didn’t put enough effort in. He could’ve gone much harder on Kendrick and for whatever reason he didn’t. The beef would’ve been more interesting if it wasn’t so clearly one-sided. Kendrick was gonna destroy Drake regardless but it could’ve been a much closer battle if Drake actually tried. Drake too stuck in autopilot mode now. The battle woke him up a little bit but you can tell the passion isn’t really there anymore.

Feb 25, 2026 100%. He's never been a great lyricist, or rapper; same delivery/flows almost all the time, other than when he's imitating Em on a track like 'Psycho'. One of the least creative ever. Just, every song may as well be the next song [insert random gun and money bragging]. 'Power of the Dollar' he was better though, like 'How to Rob' was actually witty, and 'Your Life's on the Line', much better than 'Get Rich' writing.
Feb 25, 2026 Yeah it is. I think it's just more so the overall energy of those tracks. They felt very direct and raw. But yeah, he's never been a top tier lyricist, and much of his writing is embarrassingly bad, especially with Em quoting him and acting like he's a goat writer lol. Makes no sense when Em values multis and clever phrasing and ideas so much.
