Half of Encore is great while the other half is wack

Half the songs on Encore that are classic/great songs

Mockingbird
Like Toy Soldiers
Mosh
We As Americans
Yellow Brick Road
Encore (title track)
Spend Some Time
Crazy In Love
Ricky Ticky Toc
Love You More

They are not only classic 10/10 songs but are some of his greatest ever songs especially songs like Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers and We As Americans

It's the other half of the album songs like Big Weenie stopped the album from being a great album

Overall Encore is an average album half of it is great half is terrible


However his Bridge on Twisted is 1 of the finest moments of his career

ShadyXV Em. At the end of the day you're still getting a lot more substance than you did from Encore Em. I'll admit Encore Em's highs s--- on today's I'll admit, but I enjoyed the direction Em went for ShadyXV topic matter and production wise. In fact the ONLY thing wrong with Ems music right now is his flow imo (and the mastering could be a lot better but I'll leave that alone) I'm actually curious as to how his next project will be. now that hes out of the MMLP recreation phase.

the people who dislike the cypher verse and xv only because of the delivery ignoring the f---ing brilliant, unprecedented content will never realize he's doing those voices as a huge middle finger to everyone who foolishly says rhyming and good writing don't matter or are not as important as flash and bling and a hot beat and a catchy hook chicka a hot beat and a catchy hook

Encore definitely, even though he had a few mediocre tracks on that album it's still tolerable, while Shady XV on the other hand is a great compilation album the fast flow awkward punch lines are horrendous & there are also a few uninspiring songs like Bane, & Die Alone, i'd go with Love You More, We As Americans, Like Toy Soldiers, over that s--- any day.

I actually think the cypher verse was awesome. On Shady XV there were times (Psychopath Killer, DVE and more) where he picked the wrong flow which made his verse sound like a copy and paste, it didn't match with the beat and it was forgettable. Even though his lyrical ability has improved, unfortunately his delivery and flow has declined but for things like the cypher it works well but he needs to know when to turn it off and on.

you can actually salvage a great album out of Encore plus the bonus tracks.

Id take anything from encore over shady xv any day of the week.

Encore Eminem. Much better flows and content (for the most part). Encore still had Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, Spend some time, We as Americans etc. Those songs all displayed great content, beats, flow and delivery. Shadyxv only has 1 song on the entire album with great content (Guts over fear). The rest is about absolutely nothing. Right for me might as well be called "rain man part 2." can anyone tell me what the song is even about? All eminem does now is rap fast about nothing using complex rhyme schemes. Take rain man, speed it up, and you get modern day eminem. content is everything.

Encore was probably 5 tracks away from being a steller album..replace the s--- songs, with the 'Straight from The lab' EP and you have a classic for sure. ShadyXV is not terrible, but definitely not good either. It's average at best. A few songs grew on me..
