Apr 1, 2015 If most other rappers dropped s--- like Eminem has the past few years they'd be ridiculed. But thankfully Eminem has an overloyal fanbase of suburban white kids just getting into rap and soccer moms who like his pop songs
Apr 1, 2015 You really don't know? Lmao. Eminem gets so much praise from non rap fans it's not even funny
Apr 1, 2015 I agree this can be the case for Relapse because of how goofy and ridiculous it was and Recovery with how pop-oriented it was, but with MMLP2, I don't think they'd be ridiculed. instead, the album (and likely the artist if they are just breaking into the mainstream) would be deemed as forgettable, just as it is right now.
Apr 1, 2015 Em hasn't been overly good or bad since his comeback. Just average.. Lotta bad, a few gems. To say his work now ranks against any of the first three albums is ignorant. Now, encore without the 6 or 7 wtf songs is soooooo f---ing good. Sucks the good ones that shoulda been on there got leaked or else wed have seen the goat 4 album span in music history. Today however, he's just a shell of his Former self with rare glimpses of brilliance. Anyone claiming he's more is over loyal
Apr 1, 2015 Fair enough People who don't know enough about rap are his primary fanbase, and they number in the hundreds of thousands to millions
Apr 1, 2015 I've always had a soft spot for Eminem, he was the first rapper I ever listened to. I understand why people don't like his music now but imo it's still great music (but from an artist who will never top his first albums)
Apr 1, 2015 both classic albums. after all these years people still talking about them on a regular basis
Apr 1, 2015 This shows that he makes good music (sonically) and you probably don't disagree that he's lyrically top notch
