What i look for in a rapper:
-Sick a--- flow - young thug can flow to any beat like butter
-Bars - every rap song ever created has bars
-Discography - young thug's is huge
-Emotional appeal - young thug often uses the underlying theme of providing/supporting/caring for the ones he loves
-Narrative Skills - can tell a story
-Definitive songs (e.g Kendrick Has 'Swimming pools' and 'b---- dont k--- my vibe' Eminem has 'Lose yourself' and 'Stan' the f--- does this mean? definitive songs? lol what the f---.
-Production Value (Dre>Rest of Hip hop production)
-Character (Slim shady) What does this mean? every rapper needs a personality? or every rapper needs to have a fake persona like Slim Shady?
-Creativity and Wordplay - plenty of it @Narsh could give examples off the top of his head
-Flexibility and Diversity in music yup young thugs got this, can rap about painting his nails to rapping about pulling up on nikkas

Nice energy, but slightly (ok, more than a little) repetitive. Zuse was amazing here, I wouldn't mind thug pronounce his words a little better though, which is why i said he sounds like mindless trash in the OP. There's a unique flow here though, he plays around with the beat when he ryhmes. like a dj for his own words. Reminds me a little of lil wayne , i can see he's enjoying himself.

you look for a sick flow right?

can you even rap along to thug's verse? it's nuts. it took my friends and i months to get it down. i still can't do his 2nd line

and yeah exactly he finds pockets to flow in that most people cant. Zuse was great too.

    peep Givenchy that BigCountry linked.

Don't try listening to him expecting above average lyricism or a conventional flow

You have to understand the background where him and other similar rappers come from

Just relax and focus on the actual music

    About OP:

I got into him after listening to Slime Season 2, it's his best solo project imo

    K f--- YOUR ONE MINUTE INTRO b----
anyways, for the first song, still a pain to make out what he says, but i feel he's doing this on purpose, it does give him that epic freeflow. But seriously, the energy is good, he actually has lyrics in this song too. Nothing special in the lyrical department but what he says does make sense. Well, yeah, he ryhmes well, but not in the most clever ways, or in the most poetic, But f--- it, he's not em or kendrick, and there's no need for him to be.
The second song is censored, so f--- you

smh @ @Coco taking a huge offensive. op sounded legit and open to listen, and you're immediately turning him away.

...that, and i wanted to see him literally eat his words. you ruined that.
