Jul 30, 2023 Is the song going to be over a Dre beat? I’m assuming so . I haven’t had the time to dive into all his music. But I’ve had “up down” on repeat all day . I would also assume he’s releasing a album soon . (I know they’re re-releasing his last one) but. Either A.) he has his shady debut soon or B.) Eminem has a album coming soon and he will be featured on that as well.
Jul 30, 2023 The music is just sitting there . I don’t see why not release it in some sort of way. Like I’d f---ing k--- to hear bishop Lamont’s stuff . Or the rakim album. h---… there’s a big list I’d love to hear
Jul 30, 2023 you’re right, the list of aftermath artists and the hundreds of songs in the vault is unreal….years and years of music that lots of people would have small amount to hear
Jul 30, 2023 It's so dumb that Dre is a producer with more resources and connections than anybody, and can't release albums. The difference between a "Dr. Dre" album and a compilation is what? A handful of ghostwritten verses? Dude could be putting out projects like an actually talented DJ Khaled, and putting on so many artists at the same time. Even a series of tapes from the vault would be interesting and a little money for the countless careers he's stalled over the past 20 years.
Jul 30, 2023 What was the last talented artist Dre found? Him and Em have s----d at finding talent for the last 20 years.
Jul 30, 2023 I don’t think that’s the case . Eminem has signed a lot of talented people . He just doesn’t know how to promote them correctly. When he signed 50 cent . 50 revivented how the mixtape scene was used . He was on a come up and nobody was going to stop him . And artists that signed later to shady expected the same success as him . But literally none were willing to work for it
Jul 30, 2023 I haven't heard anything special post Em, Obie and 50 tbh. That's why no one blew up from Aftermath/Shady since then, not just because of the lack of promo.
Jul 30, 2023 Cashis county hound ep was great. Stat quo wasn’t bad . Yelawolf was pretty talented. He’s just not a full blown rapper so his red neck / signing stuff kind of pushed the casual hip hop fan away
Jul 30, 2023 Cashis was cool, but gangsta rap was dying. Yela is more of a club artist, suprised they signed him to a mainstream label, but I remember in the beggining they wanted to make him white trash party music for teens lol with Gucci features and all lmao
Jul 30, 2023 BS. Aftermath has had tremendous talent on deck for decades. Not everyone was going to be a highest seller of all time, but that is stupid target to set when whole genres ebb and flow in popularity. Kendrick Lamar, Busta Rhymes, Eve, Marsha Ambrosius, Bishop Lamont, Joell Ortiz, Anderson.Paak. Not to mention the producers and the unknown rapper kids who disappeared over the years too. More than enough to fill the vaults with gems. Then you have Shady signees, who have been pretty talented too. Then finally you have everyone else in the industry who has come in and recorded with Dre over the past 20 years.
Jul 30, 2023 C'mon man, Busta and Kendrick blew up before Dre lol. They did release great stuff on Aftermath though When it comes to Shady... Sluaghterhouse could have worked, but it already did before they were signed Everone else is going to get dropped or has been dropped cause they can't do s--- with them. Dre signed so many dudes that weren't special too.
Jul 30, 2023 Glad to see Marsh isn’t the only one here that lacks reading comprehension. It’s kinda funny honestly I like it
Jul 31, 2023 yeah I kind of feel like g-unit was the final gangsta rap wave.and Kanye west was the begging of the end of gangsta rap .
Aug 2, 2023 well, i could also say because he has more vested interests, they will make him famous though the curse will be at his own financial detriment
