    This... If I'm stuck in a car that I am not driving, and it has no AUX, it's usually on the local pop radio station and 3/4th the stuff they play on there is terrible. Makes me wanna dive out of the car sometimes.

    If i was going off what I listen to the most between GKMC and KOD or Kendrick/Tech N9ne i honestly probably listen to Tech more, but I think a lot of that has to do with nostalgia and being a fan of his for a really long time, I can recognize that Kendrick put out a masterpiece of an album whether I listen to it much or not. I prefer Everready to KOD as a whole tbh but I'm not trying to start a Tech N9ne debate here.

    Mainstream and radio (pop) artists are definitely different. Artists like J. Cole, Kendrick and Drake obviously make songs that are for the radio/clubs but it's a very small percentage of their music compared to people like Iggy, Nicki, Bruno Mars etc. which is what floods radio and is overall repetitive and garbage. Even grouping someone like Rick Ross with them is r-----ed but those "real hip hop" squids will do that every time. Rick Ross is as successful as he is because he fits what I explained before.

    yeah, FHD was great and Cole's best work but I had the same argument as well about Drake still being better. People just feed into the hype too much sometimes
