Jun 1, 2017 Not rly feelin this season - too much of a s1 retread. And I feel like they only set it in 2010 to see a mr wrench cameo (I think that's his name) I wish hawley had opted to send the season even further back in the 20th century, maybe a post WWII premise. (They seem to be tinkering w a theme about technology and adaptability this season but not sure it's tying together)
Jun 22, 2017 I just got done watching the last episode...the whole season was great...My question is did the dude walk or go to Rikers
Jun 23, 2017 Excellent season of television. Not as good as the first 2 overall but I really enjoyed the ambiguity of the ending and I thought the ending interrogation scene was excellent. They did a great job tying all the narratives together. I think this season had the best cinematography yet. Seasons from the best to amazing 2,1,3 Also varga was a very very fun villain. Loved watching him every week.
Jun 23, 2017 I dont like endings like that...There could basically be another episode showing him in jail...oh well cant wait till next years season
Jun 23, 2017 Actually, it's going to be 3 years.. http://deadline.com/2017/06/fargo-season-3-finale-spoilers-noah-hawley-future-shows-1202117731/
Jun 23, 2017 lol I hope they don't wait that long...3years is a long time to wait for a show to continue... Fargo got to be the best if not a top FX show...im sure they will try to keep it going next year I remember last year Noah Hawley saying the exact same thing...1 or 2yr wait until next season...and then it appeared
Jun 23, 2017 I liked this season a lot more than 1, though 2 is obviously the best. I agree with you though, I was hoping for something set during that time period or maybe prohibition or something. I wish anthology shows took more advantage the fact they can be set during any time.
Jun 23, 2017 i think youre right -- 2 >>>>>>>>> 3 > 1 once [redacted] was killed and [redacted] went to jail/bowling alley, the show definitely improved. The finale was a letdown slightly, however... partly by design i read a theory -- hinged on hawley only doing three seasons -- that the show is, partly, about the death of the small town, and rise of corporations. like, 1 (2006) and 2 (1979), evil comes in, but wholesome values defeat it. not the case in 3 (2010). more ambiguity.
Jun 23, 2017 Yeah, the bowling alley ep was great. Reminded me a lot of The Sopranos episode "Pine Barrens." Interesting theory though, I actually like that a lot. Thought the first half of the finale was great, but it kinda tapered out. I dunno how much I liked the ending two scenes. Re: the article a few posts above, I'm glad he's not forcing a fourth season when he doesn't have any ideas yet. That's how we got True Detective season 2.
