    Nexus, Sylenth, Massive, and Zebra2 are my go-to's when making rap beats.

    CS80V is pretty great too. I use it for ambient stuff moreso than rap beats. It's a virtual version of the synthesizer Vangelis used to produce the soundtrack to the 80's sci-fi classic Blade Runner.
