Dec 3, 2016 skip demo i think, i never played it. Brotherhood anime is good/should of been in-game as a prologue of sorts or atleast cutscenes. Like brotherhood shows how your party became friends with Noctis and stuff. makes you actually give more of a s--- about them in-game. if you haven't watched Kingsglaive, probably watch that before playing too. Like it's not 100% necessary, but theres so many parts in game where i think to myself "glad i watched that other s---" and have like an understanding of wtf is happening

Dec 3, 2016 also to anyone playing this; MAJOR WARNING FOR GAME After chapter 9 (I think, they warn you like "if we sail, we wont be back for ages") the game goes into full linear story-mode until you finish the game - meaning no side-quests/free roam until you beat the next couple of chapters and unlock post-game. I'll say this kinda sucks, like i was expecting it'd only be a couple of missions, return to normal free-roam. not, the entire second half of the main story has to be completed right now before you do anything else.

Dec 3, 2016 i dont want to spoil it, but it's around chapter 9. but basically you'll have to go down an elevator and onto a boat at one part. if you don't want the linear part just yet, don't go on the boat. but that being said, game gets REAL at that chapter. like that whole chapter is going down in my memories as one of the greatest moments in video game history.

Dec 3, 2016 yup that's the boat. i'm kinda kicking myself. cause i went in practically blind - i didn't google anything about the game at all. and all i read were rumours about a month or two ago. I basically got too excited and jumped into the leviathan part, then realised i now have to beat the entire game before i get to free roam again, lol. so instead of finishing off my save, i think i'll load my last one which is chapter 4 (f---, lol) and start doing all the side stuff there. I honestly thought "ok ill do leviathan, then come back and finish the side stuff before beating the game" but you can't lol f---. in one way i find it cool, but it does feel really limiting when they go from "open world" to "100% linear". I am really keen now though, to play all the side stuff, then see how much better I can smash the story parts I already did. this is just new witcher 3 for me. 300+ hours here we go
Dec 4, 2016 @Kenneth anime and Kingsglaive has all back story. The platinum demo lets you play as a child Noctis but there's no story elements involved
