There's a film noir screening at one of my local theaters..its been here since the 30's. I think they are screening like 5 or 6 films. It's only 4 bucks, I can't pass that up..starts next week.

I still haven't seen Hard to Be a God. Eagerly waiting what you'll think about it.

Has anyone seen Don Hertzfeldt's It's Such a Beautiful Day? It's an hour long and available on Netflix instant.

I just watched it. It's kind of like a darkly comic, thoroughly depressing, crudely animated take on The Tree of Life. In other words, I recommend it!

I finally saw Gone Girl, Similar feeling i have with Interstellar, it was good and very entertaining i liked it, but it's not something to remember in the coming years and it's far from the director's potential.

I Still have a few movies to see but i feel 2014 was a bit weak. Boyhood, Budapest Hotel & Under The Skin are the only ones i can say i truly loved, closely followed by Two days, One night and Norte...

Wrote a review on Kubrick's Spartacus

    http://nextprojection.com/2015/01/03/stanley-kubrick-cinematic-odyssey-spartacus-review/

80/100. While the film was made during a high point of Hollywood cinema, there’s no doubt that an unsupervised Kubrick would have wrought out a true masterpiece

The Playlist just put up their 100 most anticipated films of 2015.

    http://blogs.indiewire.com/theplaylist/the-100-most-anticipated-films-of-2015-20150105?page=1

Browsing through the list quickly, my most anticipated, excluding films that have already been seen (Phoenix, Hard to be a God, The Duke of Burgundy, etc.) are probably....

    THE LOBSTER (Yorgos Lanthimos)
    Knight of Cups (Terrence Malick)
Silence (Martin Scorsese) - If this is really coming out
That’s What I’m Talking About (Richard Linklater)
    Carol (Todd Haynes)
    St James Place (Steven Spielberg)
    Louder Than Bombs (Joachim Trier)
Queen Of Earth (Alex Ross Perry)

Don't forget about the new Weerasethakul joint:

Love in Khon Kaen tells of a lonesome middle-age housewife who tends a soldier with sleeping sickness and falls into a hallucination that triggers strange dreams, phantoms, and romance.

I'd also add Kore-eda's Umimachi Diary & Vinterberg's Far from the Madding Crowd.

Star Wars Should be Number 1, i'm very hyped about it and i'm far from being biggest fan of the franchise.

Out of the obvious ones on the list, I'm also excited for the new Bond movie, Skyfall was really great, Top 5 of 2012
