    It is really bizarre, and I'm an Indian person. The few contemporary world cinema films from India which make international headlines during film festivals are the independent s--- the runs counter to Bollywood. Bollywood's this weird self contained escapist world with little value to the film world.

    Pretty convinced on Tarr, I think he could be top 5 as it is with Werck and Turin. Where does Tarkovsky stand for you?

    btw, if we gonna talk about this decade of films, don't f---ing forget THE TURIN HORSE.

    He was in my top 5 not so long ago, I guess Sokurov just took his place. I just have to rewatch Stalker to remind myself how jaw-dropping his stuff is. I haven't seen it in two years I think.

    Sokurov reminds me a lot of Andrei. You should watch Moscow Elegy

    Yea i'm focusing on him after I finish with this viff stuff. s-----y independent canadian features ahahaha

    Ive seen both Mirror and Stalker like 3-4 times in 35mm + home a bunch, so It will be tough for him to be overthrown.
