CR7 might be the victim here. Unless they keep him for shirt sales.

I loved how 90s those two European cup finals were; Juve-Real & United-Ajax, good to see Ajax back in a final regardless

I seen people call it an identity crisis but football goes through cycles and right now the current crop is somewhat struggling but there are signs that the team has been picking it up lately; Memphis is brilliant at Lyon, Baby Kluivert looks like a star in the making and more. I saw it more as a failure to adapt post Van Gaal who managed to squeeze the last of that older crop's juice in 2014, slowly but surely we'll see you guys competitive again, when is the Eredivisie not producing talent?

That golden generation was incredible, all of those guys played in the best clubs in the world and well Ajax 95' grads lol. To this day no footballer has ever reached the levels of swag Edgar Davids had :rejoice: The Euros 2000 was another chance, granted that was Europe during a super competitive era

Boy this gonna be an interesting tournament; very balanced groups with no real clear group of death...Granted I'd say Poland's and Argentina's are fairly difficult. Mexico got the one team I really did not want to face in Germany but we've improved heavily lately and hopefully we give them a good fight on the pitch.

I've learned that it's too early for predictions, injuries happen and coaches might fall out with players or questionable call-ups. Who knows what the f--- is going to happen between now and next summer. All I know is that I'm hyped to be alive to see another world cup, I've been fortunate to remember 98 to some semblance!

    Solid group for us.

Should be an easy 6 points against Tunisia & Panama — the Belgium game should be the battle to top the group.

We will make it unnecessarily difficult for ourselves nonetheless.

It's interesting, the Bundesliga development since the early 2000s has seen them produce a s--- ton of talent (A world cup winning generation mind you) but my thing was they never held on to that talent. Some clubs would win the league and then see them lose their stars elsewhere (Wolfsburg losing Edin Dzeko, Sahin & Kagawa leaving Dortmund)

Look at Bayern now, they are reaping what they sow--getting players for cheap from their closest competitors and are stuck with an aging squad full of egos and boneheads. It also illustrates just how amazing Neuer is, dude saves 2-3 goals per game. They don't wanna spend for the elite talent and they got spit in the face yesterday by it.

Some great champions league games in general yesterday, Chelsea-Atleti was a barnburner and I was impressed at Chelsea's organized display. f---ing Kante & Bakayoko in the middle is nuts, they cover so much space and make some great low-percentage plays work.
