Well that sucks kudos to Barcelona they scored their chances. Still proud of our attitude I wasn't expecting us to play like that and CR's goal was great as well as Suarez', might break down the tactics & key points later. Congrats to you United fans that game was a load of fun too.

Real had the game until Suarez goal, should have been like 1-2,3. Barca were awful in the first half.
But after that Suarez goal Barca took over and could have won with 4-1 if especially Neymar didnt s--- lol

The clasico was fun, great game; Real had 4-5 chances in the first half and was unlucky with Ronaldo's attempt hitting the bar, and Bale's missed shot. Barca dominated the 2nd half from the 55'-60' mark till the end. This could have gone either way, now it's difficult for Real as they want 10/10W, but it could have been worse. 2-1 is a good score as Barca can only afford a draw or loss, if they scored another goal they could have 2D in the next games and still be ahead.

A few thoughts: Bale is underperforming heavily, I think that Jese could have played instead of him in the 2nd half. Getting substituted might have been bad for him as he's already not in the best psychological condition, but he really didn't offer anything imo.

Real's players were really tired for the last 30' or so, that is unacceptable. It's been a while since they're not in the best condition imo, but something needs to be done. (During this period, Messi played extremelly well, he was underwhelming in the first half)

Lucas Silva should have been subbed in like 20' earlier, to refresh the mid.

Neymar was thinking that he was playing in the World Cup? How about passing the ball once in a while?

Modric is a great player, the main reason that I think that Real can beat Atletico in CL. He'll also wake Bale up I think; his through-balls are much needed, and they have played together for a long time.

That undefeated streak we had towards the end of 2014 was a double-edged sword since Carlo didn't really rotate and still didn't really do it this year, look at how fatigued we were in that 2nd half after we played very uptempo in that 1st half and Suarez' goal was a big blow to the mentality of the team. I feel for Bale since he's been a scapegoat for abuse, his playing style isn't meant for the smaller pitches & futsal-esqe tempo of La Liga but he comes in handy during the ucl. For his sake I'd hope he can find a new team (preferably the BPL) in the summer where he can fully exploit his skill set...Don't feel like writing an essay-length run-down of the game this early in the morning so i'll refrain for now lol.

Yeah that streak really burned the players and these games in Morocco added to that. Too many injuries, and the healthy subs are at least 1 tier below imo.

Bale is having a rough season, especially these last months, but it's difficult to let him go. Huge investment, and I think that Perez prepared him to be Real's #1 after Ronaldo eventually returns to MU (which is one of the very few teams that can actually make a move for Bale, right?), I could be wrong though, and now that the fans blame everything on him I really don't know what'll happen. Bale would probably play much better in the left wing but Cristiano doesn't want to play elsewhere. Very weird situation.

Well said, hopefully we take the positives from this edition of el clasico and move on...Politics play a big role here since we can't bench a 100M player, Bale thrives in a position with less responsibilities & roles similar to when he was still at Spurs playing behind the striker or taking an advanced position out wide and with Real Madrid nothing ever makes sense so idk what to expect this summer. Unfortunately for him we have a player that's even better at playing that role (CR7) so he's forced to play in a supporting position. James also plays the role of wide-midfielder better in the 442, Bale relies too much on the ball-carrier to dictate his movement instead of being proactive & support. We failed to take advantage of having someone from the opposite side of where the ball is being possessed to move between the lines and find a zone to receive a pass leading to creating a chance, it got worse when as a whole our vertical movements when attacking were simply not fluid and Barca committing more players back.
