f---ing r-----s man. Real announced that they've been identified and they'll take applicable legal action against them, one of them was even a member of the club but they expelled him.

I dont know why players are itching to move there when there fans are nuts and the president treats the players like toys.

Liverpool got rekt by Arsenal, Chelsea probably secured the title and no one seems to care :emoji_slight_frown:

Eh, you can say that for many teams though, and at least Real's facilities are top notch, the staff is world class, the city is fine, and we're probably talking about a top 5 club of all time :dno:
It'd be interesting to know some of the players' criteria though; would someone rather play for psg or manchester for example, if the wages were close etc

btw Real Madrid 9 - 1 Granada earlier, wtf is this. How can these 2 teams be in the same division lol

I'm more upset about my favourite team playing 1-1 (Ajax). Not mad that Chelsea becomes champion in England tbh

I always liked Ajax and it was my go to choice when I played fm lol, the academies are gold
It's a shame that you can't keep your talent there, I had read an article about how Cruyff had suggested some things to the board but they dismissed him and kept doing things their own way? I'm not sure if I remember correctly, the article was about Ajax in the last 15-20 years and how they run things in general.

edit: I found the article, it actually said that Cruyff suggested that the club should focus in improving the young talent instead of wasting money on overpriced players and aimed for something like in the mid 90's, when Ajax had Kluivert, de Boer brothers, Davids, Blind, Seedorf, Overmars, van der Sar etc. Cruyff had a different pov than van Gaal, and the latter was the one who was in agreement with the board in 2011, his plan didn't work well and since then they follow Cruyff's plan, and it's working quite well, they replaced Eriksen with Klaassen for example

True, that is the main problem Ajax has the last, like 15 years. They have young, talented players, but the moment they become really good, big clubs buy them away. It´s about money. Right now they do have money but they don't spend it. And instead of spending money on young talent or a really good player, they buy average players who don´t add anything like Sulejmani (16,4 million wasted), Luque who cost a lot of money (also their salary). The talent they had the last 5 years (Vermaelen, Vertonhgen, Eriksen, Vd. Wiel, Blind etc) and don't forget about players like Suárez and Huntelaar. Right now Klaassen is doing a really good job, and they just contracted Milik, who is great as well. But the thing is, they need to keep those players, or else they will never achieve anything anymore (like winning CL or EL). But it's difficult, mostly because of money. The gap between Ajax and clubs like Real, Chelsea etc has become too big (same goes for PSV/Feyenoord of course). It's a shame really. I have tickets for the game in 2 weeks, s-----y thing is PSV can become champion that weekend, f--- them lol

I was talking about this with a friend of mine, it's crazy that Ajax had players like Suarez, Eriksen, Sneijder, the ones you mentioned etc these last years. Ajax could have a top tier team with all these players, it's ridiculous.

The money is the main issue I agree, psg got f---ing David Luiz for 50 or 60 millions lol and his wages are huge. Cruyff's plan might pay off in the long term though; Ajax has Bergkamp, Frank de Boer as staff members, the youth academy is top tier... If they gather more resources and manage to achieve good games in CL or EL in a few seasons and reach top 8 or 4, the dream could be real. The results will be there, people to inspire are certainly there, and 1995 was only 20 years ago, former glory can't be forgotten this fast.

Athletic Bilbao has a similar model in Spain, they only accept basques or players who are part of their team/academy since they were young, and in a league where all the money go to Real and Barca, they're doing quite well.

Money aside, there is also the fact that the Dutch Eredivisie isn´t interesting enough to stay (more like a stepping stone to bigger clubs). Playing CL like Ajax has done the last few years (with some great results too) is always a good thing, but if a club like Madrid comes knocking on the door of those young players, they mostly don't hesitate. It's a everybody's dream to play in Englan or Spain, because the competitions are bigger there. But yeah imagine having all those players in your team right now: Suárez, Ibrahimovic, Huntelaar, Blind, Sneijder, Vd Wiel etc. Of course it's great to see them doing great somewhere else though. But for a long term, building something with the same players, would be a solution. A few years back they had a very young, talented team, who were also playing as a team, but they lost a few important ones, and Frank had to start over. Now with Klaassen, Milik, Schöne, El Ghazi, and obviosly Bazoer @Mano as well as some other talented players, they can build something. This season Ajax is a little out of shape, and very inconsistent, so there is some work to do, but it's definitely possible to find their way up.

Good points. Well, the biggest clubs like Real, Utd, etc will always get the players they want, this never changes, and PL or some certain teams are the ultimate challenge. On the other hand, 12M pounds for Eriksen is a ridiculously low price, and it's not like Tottenham is a tier 1 team. Grand Theft Ajax (lol?) should descent a bit.

the Chelsea youth team is arguably the best in the world and in a golden age right now; if at least 3 kids don't make it through, serious questions need to be asked of Jose; especially when he resolved to bring through the youth when he first joined

I wouldn't call it a success if only Loftus Cheek comes through, wanna see Jay Dasilva, Solanke, Brown, Boga to all be given a good chance
