I thought Madrid had all these squad players that can win a game on their own, and not just Isco (sick today) and Asensio (the one who saved the game).

You'd have me believe that Losing James and Morata wasn't a problem. Reality is that last season James and Morata came off the bench or started in rotation to save many games that Madrid would lose or draw otherwise.

I see you guys dropping more points like this than last season tbh. Madrid attacks brilliantly and relentlessy . Problem is that their positioning is TOO fluid at times and they leave so much space that even Valencia's at best average attack could score 2 among all the wasted breaks.

problem is the last touch, the whole team played well, creating 30 chances, last touch was the problem, hence benzema messing at least 4 definite goals, isco messing one and bale not even doing anything at all.. as to the bench players we discussed earlier they all played well and could've easily won the game with at least a decent striker

If Valencia had a decent striker or even a decent winger Madrid would have lost.
My point is that maybe pundits should acknowledge the weaknesses of Madrid instead of calling them invincible because Barca flopped, Juventus choked, and Bayern got robbed in the same season. You might end up overrating them.

Not that they aren't the best team in the world, but with Morata and James not on the bench, it isn't quite the same Madrid team.

Who did they bring on in this game to save the day?

before i countinue reading how did they get robbed when they were given 2 penalties out of the blue, their 2nd goal in the away match was an offside (lewa was involved and was offise)and vidal's red should have been in like the 20th minute, it was delayed 40 minutes.

they weren't robbed the refereeing was trash overall

asensio is a bench player and he saved the day, nacho is a bench player and was amazing in defense, kovacic came in and bossed the middlefield, vazquez came in and was more threatening than bale in his last 200 minutes combined

Valencia's attacking was average and Madrid still conceded 2 goals.

Had a good game but nothing spectacular outside of 2 dribbles. Also did f--- all defensively.

That's not saying much considering how s--- Bale has been.

Seriously, Madrid's squad depth now is undoubtedly great. But last year it was just unfair. Zidane still has more attacking talent in depth than any other team on the world. But given the sharp decline of the BB in BBC and that Ronaldo's form and health is less certain nowadays, the attack in general becomes much less secure than last year (Zidane had nothing better than Benzema today).

It shouldn't really be that much a problem anyways, because Madrid create so much chances that they can afford to have wasteful strikers.
