I agree with you that Tottenham aren't contenders for the title but they are a big threat for all EPL teams don't pretend like they aren't. They have an amazing squad but I don't think they have the capacity for the EPL title which is a shame because I want them to win it.

Can't say I'm surprised, all our performances in this cup were all horrendous and it's clear Zidane just made a team sheet and told them "do whatever you want"--zero identity, cohesion or gameplan. This Leganes team was missing several starters but showed what we lacked. I barely have hope against PSG but with this result, that game very likely will decide Zidane's future.

This is too absolutist, but that stubbornness is costing us, assuming he doesn't change his ways I believe it's for the best he leaves. This squad should be doing much better than 4th place and tedious displays.

Then again, that's football. Cycles happen and we had a h--- of a run these last 4 years. La Liga has been falling behind in spending to the BPL, with the ways things are going wouldn't surprise me if their European results start improving.

Absolutely, it's been a lot of head scratchers in the summer and our refusal to try adding reinforcements this window. This recent trend of "youth development" is confusing--Perez expects these kids to already be world-class players when the reality is they need years of development, it's shown in the Copa they need a lot more time. It's a perfect storm of near-sighted decisions, or well shitstorm.

I mean that's every big club, especially in today's game that demands immediacy in results. Unless these kids are pretty much bulletproof exceptional talents (think Raul, Iniesta & co) it's very rare to see opportunities being handed out. Remember "Zidanes y Pavones"? It seems like that ended up becoming today's model in every major club, a big problem in these last few years (for both our clubs) has been retaining youth talent, it's sad seeing the two Alcantara brothers leave or the fact we could have kept Juan Mata years ago.
