Jan 19, 2016 I think you're going to see a lot more athletes go the baseball route in the years to come. It's safer, more guaranteed money and your career is a helluva lot longer
Jan 19, 2016 don't think its that simple, Jordan went to being the best player of all time in the NBA to a below average baseball player.
Jan 19, 2016 As a fan of boxing, I still root for mma to supplant it someday. There is a reason we call its veterans "punch drunk" and there is a specific form of dementia named after it. The 8 count is just begging for second impact syndrome. Kovalev killed somebody just last year. MMA gets criticized fo brutality, but a brutal finish is more merciful than chipping away at your opponent's frontal lobe with a jab for 12 rounds. Not to mention grappling being an entire dimension of the sport where you can avoid impacts all together. Just some more scattered thoughts on the subject.
Jan 19, 2016 Of course being great in one sport doesn't always translate to another, but Jordan had also not played baseball in a long time when he switched over. Not saying he would've been Barry Bonds had he stuck with that over basketball but he would've been better had he not taken like 15 years off from the game
Jan 20, 2016 Gotta wonder how all this stuff will affect the future of football. We've already seen it a little with rule changes and stuff like that, but curious to see what else happens as time goes on.
