    No my front/back half comment was about Blond. I feel like, after "Nights," it doesn't quite pick up the same momentum it had. There are still good songs but it doesn't get in the same rhythm.

    I think that Channel Orange is good and that it has some great songs. Dunno if I'd call it "one of the most innovative R&B albums" ever though, lol. Is it even, strictly speaking, an R&B album? I'd say Frank Ocean is a pop artist, wouldn't you?
    I don't understand what this is supposed to mean.
    lmao...you guys.

    Frank Ocean is wildly popular but it's not like dissent about the quality of Channel Orange specifically is super uncommon.

    I just look at the tracklist, hear those songs in my head, and underwhelming doesn't describe Channel Orange at all

    Gucci is a terrible rapper. Being tough doesn't make you a good rapper Not sure how he's good. But calling Frank a pop artist? Who is touching boundaries like he is? Pop R&B is Jason Derulo, Trey Songz, I mean you can throw Drake in there, but caling Frank Pop? lol cmon man

    Why are you acting like "pop" is an insult? Michael Jackson was a pop artist. Bjork is a pop artist. It's not a measure of quality or even of "realness" or anything like that. I simply think--like many people do--that he works more in a pop musical tradition than an R&B one. I mean, s---, I've listened to the album like seven times today. It's really good! But you'd be hard-pressed to call it R&B. That's not a bad thing.

    How is Gucci a good rapper? I'm biased growing up in NYC area during the 90s and 2000s. I either love southern rappers or hate them. Gucci is a joke. If I want to hear someone rhyme words barely I'll listen to the homeless people rap for money. They have more skill tbh. Frank is not Pop...he's his own thing. I don't think you can argue that he's another guy making pop songs.
