    I think you are grossly devaluing what pop music can be, though. When I say I think of Frank has a pop artist, that isn't a slight, it's not even a backhanded compliment. I think he's one of the best pop artists in the world. Like, Mitski has one of the best albums to come out this year to me, and it's pure pop.

    How much Gucci have you listened to? I have heard--maybe--three or four people in my life of listening to rap music who can put together words on Gucci's level.

    I love how this site can be such a f---ing circle jerk that I come in the thread like "This album is very good! I like it more than the last one, which was good but a little uneven and underwhelming" and I'm some savage hater, lol

    I also like that I called a record "uneven" and you countered by naming the highlights lol

    Seriously? I was under the impression she bought prewritten songs - The Dream's Umbrella & PND's Work. Maybe it's just her big songs.

    Also, I've noticed it is common to use the term "Pop" as an insult but whatever. It obviously has multiple meaning depending on who is using the word.

    I love pop music. I actually love more mainstream music than anyone should lol. I just have never seen anyone like Frank make the type of music he does. None of the tracks on his album will be in the bill board charts. He's not pop

    Well Rihanna working with The-Dream and PND isn't really buying songs off of an assembly line though, those are obviously personal relationships where they were made specifically for her. But yeah, I assumed she didn't write much, but multiple people have told me she wrote a great deal of Anti on the spot in the studio
