Jun 4, 2016 Right, statistically I don't know so I won't comment. But men who are wrongfully convicted don't show up in those statistics either, so it's not an all-the-way telling number. But my point is that with allegations like this, there's a line you need to walk with which you're empathetic with the female since bringing the issue to light is a very difficult thing to do. But at the same time, there has to be room for scepticism. Ian Connor's case for example, given that the allegations were brought up so late, any evidence of bruising or force disappears, and to secure any evidence becomes difficult. But you can't write off the girl as a liar like some have (or even I myself did in the case of Tupac's r--- charge). It's just a tough situation from a legal standpoint is all I mean, I hope the wrongdoer is punished accordingly.

Jun 4, 2016 Yeah you're right--r--- cases are very difficult to prosecute, because of the nature of the crime. Like, to me, Ian Connor is definitely a r--ist, but I highly doubt you could mount a significant legal case against him. It's interesting you bring up Pac though. There's definitely a huge amount of cognitive dissonance when public figures are charged.
Jun 4, 2016 r--- cases are incredibly hard to prove, which is frustrating because it's such a disgusting crime. The idea that we know a statistic on how many are false and how many are true, is also bogus. People like the cite different numbers when they have an agenda, but the truth is, there really is no way of knowing, due to the nature of the crime. To make matters worse, people have very different definitions of r---, which leads to more confusion among people involved. Plus, human interactions are always complicated and difficult. Although Gibbs is famous, we can't just assume the woman involved is lying. That's a total disservice to all victims of r---. But we also need to be wary of the possibility that this is frivolous. We need to wait for more evidence to come to light.
