    I was never a fan of Stannis from the start, now I have a better reason to dislike him.

    The show runners wanted no nuanced nonsense with Stannis the Mannis, they've utterly f----- his character. No redeeming quality left. For all my life I have been a true and leal servant of House Baratheon of Dragonstone but I can no longer recognize him as the one true King as Westeros. I hope my colleague Lord Davos Seaworth, Admiral of the Narrow Sea, Lord of the Rainwood and Hand of the King abandons his service as well.

    I'm on my way to the Dreadfort. May the Old Gods watch over our Warden of the North, Lord Bolton, the future Red King of the North. :emoji_100:

    Yeah I don't think the season is awful by any means, but definitely the slowest. I wouldn't quite call it straight exposition, but there was a lot of set up.

    Anyway the battle + tyrion/dany scenes make up for it...there's some other big stuff coming in the next two episodes assuming they end the season where book 5 ends. At this point I don't even see book 6 coming out by the time the show ends, holy s---.

    f---in GRRM needs to take a hint from hip-hop and surprise drop books 6 and 7 the day after ep 10 airs

    So the ending was sick, but no love for the khaleesi and tyrion dialogue?
    Danerys saying she will break the wheel was probably the best quotable of the season so far

    There is still some Valyrian Steel around, not a lot though. Jeor Mormont gave the sword to Jon a few seasons back I think. Jamie gave his sword to Brienne, btw.

    Same, I've never been into anything like this, hate Lord of the Rings and fully expected to hate GOT but it's up there with my favorite shows now. Agree it will never touch The Wire or BB though.

    There are 5 books so far. Feast For Crows is the 4th and Dance With Dragons is the 5th. Everybody is anticipating his next book, The Winds of Winter. The problem with Feast and Dance is that GRRM expanded the story too much and Feast doesn't have any Tyrion, Dany or Jon Snow chapters. Also, Feast is kind of boring. It's really just the fallout of the Red Wedding from a few perspectives. Dance was a little better than Feast because it included the previous omitted chapters. Certain things happen in Dance (and they'll probably happen this season) that makes the next book highly anticipated.

    Probably the weakest season theres not really any moments where im on the edge of my seat or anything. this all better build up to something huge
