Sorry you're sick but at least you have plenty of time to read I think I will take a break after the first book and read something lighter before starting the second one, but I love it so far. I'm like 85% done (according to my Kindle), and Catelyn and Robb just had their talk with old man Walder Frey about letting them past the river. That was a good chapter. It's so funny that he has so many kids, grandkids, and grandbastards and half of them are also named Walder. But the chapter before it was sad, poor Ned locked up, leading up to his death
Aug 4, 2015 Love the show bought the books the other week and i almost finished the first book in a matter of a week and half, In respect to the show I'm at the start of episode 10. Im interested in seeing how the books differ from the show. So far i havent really seen any major differences but i know they're some major differences. I can say without a doubt i wouldnt be able to read the book and follow it so closely without the show. On a side note Jon is most likely going to be brought back no way they can k--- the blood of the dragon with a knife. Melisandra better use some major sorcery because if hes brought back as ghost only that will be lame. Can we agree that Varys is a top 3 character?
Aug 5, 2015 I started reading the books about 2 years ago but kind of gave up (not really a reader). I didn't see much difference in the first book but apparently Season 5 was noticeably different. But I think the main thing was that the TV series decided to not include some of the stories from the book like the Greyjoys and Brotherhood without Banners. Now that the show has caught up I reckon they'll go back to those. As for Varys, not a top 3 favourite character of mine, but definitely a dark horse for the throne.

Aug 5, 2015 One of the biggest disappointments to season 5 when I heard the legend himself aedibisi was casted for thrones I was expecting him to be putting some heads on spikes. He did connect a solid hook on jorah though.
Aug 5, 2015 I think that it was confirmed that he'll return after a one-season break, no? *edit out false alarm* edit2: nvm the actor confirmed it himself that he's back: "Hempstead Wright has assured the Irish Examiner that he will, in fact, be making his return to the world of Game of Thrones when season 6 hits the airwaves. Here’s the quote from the actor: “I can’t say a lot but I am back this season, and it’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.” Hempstead Wright readily admitted that he has yet to watch Game of Thrones season 5, but it would appear that his character’s re-emergence will have a strong role to play in the battle for Westeros – as the actor indicated that it will likely hew closely to Bran’s role in the books." Aug 5, 2015 Yea I saw that he was definately gonna be in it to some capacity but I mean they cut him out of the last season because there was way the f--- too much going on so i'm not exactly confident they're gonna do something worthwhile with him
Aug 5, 2015 Oh ok. Tbh I have very high expectations for him, they can really get creative with his storyline and they can't drop the ball. The only thing that could go wrong is to slow him down too much for the sake of danny's t-ts, but I doubt it'll happen because there seems to be no dead time for most of the major storylines - at least for now - so I hope for better pacing and equally shared screen time for the major characters.
Aug 5, 2015 I think the main reason he wasn't included in Season 5 is because he was pretty much just training, heightening his skills and gaining new powers. The creator even said that it wasn't worth it for Bran to have any screen time during Season 5 because it wouldn't be very interesting, just watching him train in a cave. The next time we see him he should be able to "fly" or something. There is still plenty of potential left in his story line. Also how can you not like Arya Stark, or at least find her interesting? You have to admire her journey & resiliency after witnessing her father get executed.
Aug 5, 2015 exactly, I was expecting him to have a much bigger part. Since you are a fan of Oz or at least familiar with that show, don't you think Kareem Said (Eamonn Walker) would be GREAT on Game of Thrones? Perfect actor for this kind of show IMO.
Aug 5, 2015 Love Oz it's one of my favorite shows. I think a lot of the actors would be a fit for thrones honestly, especially since HBO likes to stay in the family. For example as great as Aiden gillen is as little finger can you imagine if you have The actor who played O'reily playing him he's always scheming and manipulating his foes. That's not to knock mayor carcerti but just a thought. I think Aedibisi would have been the best fit but they clearly botched his role. He should have been in the pits f---ing people up establishing himself on the leaderboards. I think any of the actors from OZ would be a great fit the violent nature of both shows would make It a easy transition for each actor. If they had to add a actor from Oz to join the cast I could see it being O'reily just because the nature of his character is about scheming and manipulation but id be more than satisfied with any of them. Since we're speaking about Oz Giles asking to be stoned to death is easily one of the most goat moves of the entire series and aedibisi only took 1 L the entire series when he got bitched trying to get head from that nut job Shirley. Aedibisi the legend>>> they should have let him worn his beanie on thrones. Only character I couldn't see on thrones would be McManus unless the role was to get beaten or stabbed
Aug 7, 2015 Giles was a f---ing G, period. That move saved his life. I'd say Adebisi took a few L's though. It would be hard not to. McManus wasn't horrible. He was an OK character, but just way too much of a liberal p----.
