Jan 26, 2017 Yup. He cant win because his fanbase is so divided. Some want edgy stuff. Some want motivational stadium stuff, some want emotional stuff and some want funny stuff. And on MMLP2 you can see he tried to please everyone which left the album feeling too messy and chaotic. At this point, I agree though, Id rather have a mature album with smooth flow. Fingers crossed.
Jan 26, 2017 Dont agree with your relapse or MMLP2 opinions, but I am 100% down with the SSLP being a bit cringy and even outdated as h---. MMLP>>SSLP
Jan 26, 2017 Mixed emotions with your post. mmlp is a lot more than decent and will stand timeless in most peoples eyes. Less is more on the em production sometimes. He suits the less layered basic beats with heavy kicks. Of course TES is still good. Encore is s---... yes. Relapse =??? you can GTFOOH with that s---. Utter bollocks. It's a great album. Recovery sucks compared to relapse. MMLp2 was decent. A few suspect tracks and some awful production and mixing/mastering lets it down. Yes GRODT is still amazing. The massacre could have been classic if there wasn't so many tracks. Great album. Never in any way has it 'aged' better than 'any' Eminem album but its each to their own I guess. Oh and correct.... Position of power is so easily 50's best ever song it's not even close. That s--- alone nearly pulls that album up to classic status. Not quite ... but nearly. Oh and btw.... Cheers.... is a classic album. Undisputed. Obie has a classic. That's my 2 cents anyhow. Eat it.. throw it away. I dgaf.
Jan 26, 2017 Just because 50 is not a technical rapper doesn't mean he wasn't good. His flow back on GRODT was flawless.
Jan 26, 2017 I just can't overlook how meh to bad Blood Hound, p----, Like My Style, Poor Lil Rich and Don't Push Me Are. I'm also not a fan of Gotta Get to Heaven most of the time either.
Jan 26, 2017 the only Em album i would put it up against GRODT is The Eminem Show. them two projects are their only albums i can listen to front to back. everything else has skippable tracks scattered all over their discography.
Jan 26, 2017 Me being 25 now, Em's music hasn't aged as well as I thought I would, mainly because of the shock lyrics (especially on the SSLP). That album has some gems though, like Rock Bottom. But, I still enjoy the MMLP a lot, and definitely TES. What puts GRODT over the top of them both (it's close) is the production, & gritty lyrics.
Jan 27, 2017 Yeah, not disputing it was good music overall - for sure. Classic album. But I do think dense rapping adds to s--- aging better, and due to 50's simplistic rapping... I think that hurts it. Personally, and so I think Em's s--- - even his most aging s---... Ages slightly better. Because his flows and raps rarely sound as cheesy or dated, because they're so dense.
Jan 27, 2017 I haven't listened to the album in a long time but I can imagine I'd find this to be true.
Jan 27, 2017 People sayin' The Slim Shady LP outdated, it has aged bad lol:D Guys, let me guess u probably listened to Slim Shady LP at least as twice much as the album u listened the most. Of course it's aged bad now. Same goes for me too. I can't imagine listening to another album as much as Em's first 3. 50's album is great but like I said, it's only better when u are in car etc.
Jan 27, 2017 Eminem's verse wasn't as I understand he actually sent his verse when they were mastering the album or smh like that
Jan 27, 2017 Maybe you've listened to relapse a little too much, bud. good talk though, man. hope you're doing well
Jan 27, 2017 Laoo @Ben this forum better than rg ? 95% of ppl on here will get slaughtered for some s--- they say
